On April 4–5, the Alpha-1 Europe Alliance (A1EA) proudly participated in the 7th Global Research Conference and 10th Patient Congress, hosted by the Alpha-1 Foundation (A1F) in Lisbon, Portugal. This landmark event brought together more than 25 countries and a diverse global community of experts, researchers, healthcare professionals, industry representatives, patient advocates, and caregivers, united in the mission to accelerate progress in Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency care.

On June 24th, 2024, the Alpha-1 Europe Alliance played a vital role at the European Commission’s event in Brussels, focusing on the Comprehensive EU Framework for Safety and Quality of Substances of Human Origin (SoHO). This new regulation aims to enhance the safety of both donors and patients, while ensuring sufficient plasma supply within Europe.
